Sean Jordan
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Practicum Student

Raised in Lake Tahoe, Sean has worn a lot of different hats throughout his career, from coaching kids in ski racing and teaching videography to working in journalism, creative media, and management. Through it all, storytelling has been a common thread, whether that’s sharing someone else’s story or simply taking the time to listen and understand their perspective. These experiences have given him the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life and helped shape his interest in counseling.

Sean believes everyone has a story worth telling, and that understanding our experiences can help us make sense of who we are and where we want to go. His approach draws from Person-Centered, Existential, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies, with an emphasis on meeting people where they are and figuring out what works best for them. He believes that while we can’t always control what life throws our way, we can take ownership of our choices and how we respond. His goal is to provide a comfortable, judgment-free environment where people can have honest conversations, explore different perspectives, and work toward meaningful changes in their lives.

How I Stay Healthy: Spending time with my wife and our dog, going to the gym, enjoying the outdoors, following my favorite sports teams, watching movies and TV shows, and finding plenty of reasons to laugh along the way.
