Taylor Brown
Clinical Social Worker Intern
Taylor is originally from Carson City, but she moved to the Reno area in 2015 to begin her college career at Truckee Meadows Community College. After graduating high school with an Associate of Arts, she completed her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work at the University of Nevada, Reno. Throughout her life, she developed moxie and grit, which drove her effectiveness in operations management, horticulture, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment, school counseling, and private practice therapies for individuals, couples, and families.
Taylor delivers a holistic approach to each patient, honoring not only mental and emotional components, but physical, social, and spiritual as well, using somatic and art therapies. She also draws from traditional modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and utilizes Gottman exercises for couples. She is certified in trauma informed yoga and Holy Fire Reiki 1. Taylor’s goal is to support you in unlocking personal growth, harnessing each part of yourself, and building an exceptional life.
How I stay healthy: Lots of walks, tending to my garden, sunshine, cooking and enjoying nourishing food, being connected with family, hangs with my partner and our orange tabby named Zombie, true crime, and books!
