Michelle moved to Nevada in 2008 to attend the University of Nevada, Reno where she completed her Master’s degree in counseling and educational psychology. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in applied psychology while living in Oregon where she grew up.
Over the last several years, Michelle has gained experience and knowledge working with children and families in both a residential treatment center and outpatient setting. She has completed several play therapy workshops and trainings, and has made working with children her area of expertise.
Michelle also has an interest in working with couples and families. She has completed the Gottman Couple’s Therapy level one training and believes in a systems approach when counseling families.

Kristi comes from a long line of Native Nevadans and was born and raised on a ranch in (very) rural Nevada where she learned the value of family and belonging In 2003 at the age of 23 Kristi was involved in a car accident that left her paralyzed and unable to continue in her previous capacity as the CEO and manager of operations of her parent’s petroleum conglomerate. After much soul searching she made the decision to leave behind the family business in search of something more.
During her undergraduate studies at Great Basin College in Winnemucca Kristi worked with several different populations and spent many years advocating for people with a variety of disabilities. She also realized her passion for working with underprivileged children, specifically those affected by caregiver addiction. During her graduate program Kristi worked with young children at a residential treatment facility in Reno and after graduating with her Master’s Degree in Social Work she was hired as a full time therapist at the facility.
Kristi is working toward becoming a credentialed play therapist and she specializes in working with children ages 5-10 on a variety of issues and to find happiness in the world around them. Kristi likes to use an integrative approach when working with clients. and believes in client-centered therapy that includes focus on thoughts, feelings and motivations with an emphasis on personal responsibility.

Dave grew up in Reno, attended local schools, and graduated high school in 1975. He attended Oregon State University and transferred to Multnomah University where he completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical Education. He married Kathy, a widowed mother of two, and then dove into church work and began seminary.
Two additional children and a Masters of Divinity degree later, Dave and his family left for Europe for six years where he did pastoral care for missionaries and taught church leaders and laymen. This confirmed his love for counseling struggling people in difficult situations. Upon return Dave became a pastor in a large church in Reno where he did couples, family, and individual counseling and therapy for nearly 13 years.
Desiring to improve his skills and be more effective, he entered Northcentral University’s Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program. He is currently a practicum student with the goal of becoming a fully licensed marriage and family therapist to help struggling couples and families find the life of love and connection they need.
How I stay healthy: Working out, backpacking, building furniture and fine woodworking, music, literature and movies.

Jesse has provided counseling and therapy services in the Truckee Meadows since 2005. Since that time, he has helped many people struggling with a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationship problems, and substance abuse.
Jesse's belief is that nobody truly wants to suffer, but at times in life we can become stuck and unable to make the necessary shift without some assistance or guidance. He believes the act of seeking therapy is tremendously powerful and a testament to one’s courage and commitment to their life. Jesse approaches therapy with an active collaboration among his clients and their families and has found through years of experience that the most effective therapy includes participation from his clients both within and outside of the therapy session. He believes in supporting his clients through compassion, education, and direct and honest feedback without judgment or shame.
Jesse’s areas of specialization are in relationship/marriage counseling and substance abuse treatment. He completed his master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology in 2011 and his bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2006, both at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Steve was Born and raised in upstate New York and then traveled west to attend the University of, Nevada, Reno. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2004 and a master’s degree in Counseling and educational psychology there in 2011. During this time, he also earned an advanced certificate in addiction treatment services. Since then, he was worked with individuals, groups, couples and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Steve Believes that the key to promoting change is to create a relationship and environment where one feels safe and accepted. His experience and knowledge of Choice Theory and Cognitive behavioral therapy perspectives combine to help clients increase emotional awareness. Steven believes in your ability to be happy. He is excited to help you work towards finding what you need for greater meaning and joy in your life and accommodating for the obstacles that may seem to inhibit his.

Falon has lived in Nevada since she was a very young child. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies in December, 2008 and completed her master's degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology in May of 2013. Both degrees were conferred from the University of Nevada, Reno.
She has been working as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern for the past two years and has worked with children, adolescents, families, couples and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, self-harm behaviors, suicidal ideation and family conflict in both outpatient and residential treatment settings. She has also worked with individuals and families in the homeless population.
Falon has a background in CBT and family systems theories, and has completed some play therapy training. She works primarily from a school of thought that our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all interconnected and the various environments we are a part of all have an influence on our daily lives.
D. Mickie Law

Mickie Law received her master's degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from University of Nevada, Reno and has been a licensed marriage and family therapist for 15 years. A strong advocate of social justice, she focuses on counseling in community-based settings, working with traditionally underserved populations such as those with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, youth involved with the juvenile justice system, the homeless and the chronically ill. Mickie has developed and led day treatment programs for troubled youth and seriously mentally ill adults. Most recently, she worked as a therapist and clinical program direction providing services to the chronically homeless. Her professional interests include traumatized children and teens, alternative lifestyles and transgendered youth. She draws a great deal of energy from community service including her previous role as the president of the board of directors for a local GLBTQ community center and her current works on a transitional housing project. A skilled and empathic clinician with an existential focus, she provides counseling that meets clients where they are and endeavors to work with clients toward their own solutions. We are proud to have Zephyr team.

Steven graduated from the University of Nevada with an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and then later earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. His resume includes work with emotionally disturbed adolescents in residential treatment, crisis intervention, sexual assault counseling, suicide prevention, and extensive work in geriatrics as a case manager.
He has lived and worked in the local area for many years with work settings that included residential treatment, acute mental health facility, clinic for sexual assault, and many years of public service in local government as a public guardian case manager.
Raymond "RJ" Harts

RJ was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and has been in the Reno area for the past four years attending the University of Nevada, Reno. He is currently a undergraduate senior majoring is Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. He has always had a passion for bettering the lives of individuals that come into his life. RJ has had several years of Basic Skills Training experience and will soon be fully credentialed for Psychosocial Rehabilitation work. He plans on continuing his education with the ultimate goal of obtaining a Masters in Social Work.
Cynthia Lou Lensing
Cyndi was born and raised in Reno and attended middle school and part of high school at Damonte Ranch High school, while finishing out her last two years at Truckee Meadows Community College High School. By the time she graduated high school, plus one extra semester, she had already earned her associates degree in General Education.
Three more years of schooling and Cyndi completed her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2015. After a spending several years fostering the development of middle and high school kids during her high school and college years she developed an undeniable passion for children and adolescents in the community. Becoming a PSR worker is a perfect match for her and the Zephyr team.

Brandon was born in Reno and raised in the North Valleys area. After living in California, he returned to the area for eight years of public service to the community and also works part-time as a commercial voiceover artist. With a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Nevada in December 2015 he is aiming for an MFT degree to continue to serve the Truckee Meadows for many years to come.
Rob has literally dealt with people from all over the world. He was born and lived the first year-and-a-half of his life in Taiwan, after which he was moved to Oregon until he was three. He then lived in Illinois and California followed by a six year stint living in Germany. When he returned to the States, Rob and his family moved to Hawthorne, NV, where he graduated from high school. After high school, he did a four year stint in the Marine Corps which allowed him to deploy to the Far East, Australia, and Pacific Islands.
Upon exiting the Marines, Rob enrolled in the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned his degree in Political Science and History. He then returned to take Accounting and Finance classes, after which he worked in the gaming and hospitality industry.
Rob joined the Zephyr Wellness team in September to assist withe front desk and bookkeeping duties. He believes that having dealt with people with different backgrounds and outlooks allows him an insight into understanding people and their needs so that he can connect a client with the provider who will best suit their needs.
